Precision Finding for People was launched on iPhone 15 models. If you and the person you’re looking for both have an iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Pro, Precision Finding can take you to them using on-screen directions and distance information.
How to Locate Friends with Precision Finding on iPhone 15?
Follow these steps to locate your friend using Precision Finding:
- Launch the Find My iPhone app.
- At the bottom of the screen, touch People, then tap the name of the person you want to meet. (If you’re not following each other, you may need to reveal your location or ask for theirs.)
- If you’re not nearby, press Directions to go closer to them. If you’re already nearby, press Find to alert your buddy that you’re looking for them, then follow the onscreen instructions to get directions.
When you’re close enough, an arrow will point in their direction with an estimate of how far away they are. The screen will turn green while you are walking in the right direction.
Tap the Message icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen if you need to message the person you’re looking for. When you’ve located your friend, finish by tapping the X button in the bottom-left corner.
