Google Bard can now assist in the creation of software code. Reuters, April 21 – Alphabet Inc’s (GOOGL.O) Google announced on Friday that it will improve Bard, its generative artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot, to assist people in writing code to develop software, as the tech behemoth tries to catch up in a fast-moving race on AI technology.

To gain headway on Microsoft Corp (MSFT.O), the company began the public distribution of Bard last month. Last year’s debut of ChatGPT, a chatbot from Microsoft-backed startup OpenAI, sparked a race in the technology sector to put AI in the hands of more users.
Google defines Bard as a cooperative experiment with generative AI, a method that uses historical data to generate rather than identify content.
According to Google, Bard will be able to code in 20 programming languages, including Java, C++, and Python, and will also be able to debug and explain code to users. According to the business, Bard can also optimise code to make it faster or more efficient by asking basic questions like “Could you make that code faster?”
Bard is currently available to a limited number of users who can interact with the bot and ask inquiries instead of using Google’s standard search interface.
