Historically, despite their relatively low resolutions, OnePlus has released good displays. This helps to maintain expenses down as the battery output improves. With the 2,400x 1,080 display on the 7T, OnePlus took this strategy again. This time around, our assessment gives the recent OnePlus device the same 8.6 ratings as Note 10 Plus.

The display of Note 10 Plus is a higher resolution of 3,040 x 1,440, but with the naked eye, you can barely tell. What really matters in a display is quality that is perceived. With the display of the 7T beating Note 10 Plus in any other category, the perceived quality is close to one-to-one.

The two devices have very similar gamma, max brightness, and colour temperature, though in all three categories the 7T always comes out on top so slightly. Where Samsung really beats OnePlus is with the precision of colour. The display of the 7T is far and wide the more realistic colour display of both.
Pair the more natural display with a slightly better outdoor view, and it is easy to see how the devices got the same score despite the higher resolution of Note 10 Plus.

Moreover, when the 7T goes in at a fraction of the price, it’s difficult not to fall in love with what OnePlus brought to the table this time around.
